Dean Cannon Named Florida Chamber's 2012 MVL

House Speaker Dean Cannon, R-Winter Park, can add an MVL (Most Valuable Legislator) to his mantle as he exits the Legislature.

The Florida Chamber of Commerce gave Cannon the 2012 MVL honor on Tuesday, noting that he helped establish predictability and stability with Floridas business climate and supported private-sector job creation.

Speaker Cannon is a champion of free enterprise and understands government doesnt create jobs -- government creates the right environment for the private sector to create jobs, Anthony Connelly, chairman of the Florida Chamber and senior vice president and CFO of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, stated in a release.
