Dawn Roberts Headed from Department of State to Senate Committee
On Tuesday, Senate President Mike Haridopolos, R-Merritt Island, announced that he was bringing Interim Secretary of State Dawn Roberts on board as staff director for the Governmental Oversight and Accountability Committee.
After serving several years in the Department of State as interim secretary, chief of staff, Division of Elections director, and general counsel, Dawn is returning to the Senate, wrote Haridopolos in a memo. She brings extensive experience serving in the Legislature to her new job. Dawn spent six years working in the Legislature including serving as staff director of the Senate Judiciary and Reapportionment committees. Dawn also served in the House of Representatives as staff director for the Election Reform Committee, and chief attorney for the Rules, Ethics & Elections Committee.
