David Jolly Wants Congress to Have Longer Sessions

On Monday, U.S. Rep. David Jolly, R-Fla., fleshed out his proposal for the U.S. House to spend more time in session. Last week, Jolly wrote the House Rules Committee and asked for a rules change so Congress could spend more time in session than the 110 days it was this week.
We should be in session more, Jolly said on Monday. We cannot rightfully address the many concerns of the American people like the national debt, tax reform, national security and education if we are not in session.
