David Beckham, Mr. 'Great Guy Around the World,' Awaits Huge Day Saturday

Who says David Beckham isn't a pretty awesome guy?

The legendary British soccer star for Manchester United of the English Premiere League and MSL's LA Galaxy isn't sitting around waiting to launch his MLS Miami team. He's out there doing what David Beckham does best, paying it forward.

During the last week, Beckham has visited all seven continents, making friends and boosting children, launching "7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund." David played in Papua, New Guinea; Nepal; Djibouti; Miami; Antartica; and Argentina.

At 3 p.m. Saturday he will be at Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, England, captaining a very special team. The game is billed as Great Britain and Ireland vs. The Rest of the World, a UNICEF charity game to include a remarkable number of big names, all intent on raising as much money as possible for Beckham's UNICEF fund.

Not only will Sir Alex Ferguson return to the Old Trafford dugout to coach the team, but besides Beckham, stars on the pitch will include Zinedine Zidane, Ronalinho, Cafu, Cristiano Ronaldo, Patrick Viera, Sol Campbell, Wayne Rooney, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

Sadly -- barring a miraculous network change of plans -- to see the sold-out game in the U.S., you have to have the live-streaming app MyEye. But highlights of "The David Beckham Match for Children" will be shown on BBC's late-night Match of the Day, aired on many cable networks in the States.
