David Alan Gore Wants Supreme Court to Block his Execution

The attorneys for convicted serial murder David Alan Gore filed paperwork Monday with the Florida Supreme Court to block his April 12 execution.

His attorneys want the states top court to overturn the order by Circuit Judge Dan Vaughn because they claim Gore was denied a requested hearing on the pending execution.

Gov. Rick Scott signed the warrant for Gore to be put to death for the 1983 rape and murder of a teenage girl on the Treasure Coast on Feb. 28.

Gores execution is scheduled for April 12 at 6 p.m. at Florida State Prison.

"In the 86-page appeal, Gore's lawyers ask the Florida Supreme Court to hold oral arguments to better explore his claims of having inadequate legal counsel during his post-conviction relief proceedings," reported TCPalm.com.
