Crenshaw Hopes Obama Focuses on Economy, Defense in SOTU

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw, R-Fla., weighed in on Tuesday afternoon on what he hopes to see from President Barack Obamas State of the Union address that night.

Residents across Northeast Florida and the nation deserve policy from Washington that will grow the economy, put Americans back on the job, keep our military strong, and provide patient-centered health care not the broken promises that Obamacare has delivered, Crenshaw said. Our country is at a crossroads. The foundation we lay now will determine our fiscal health and strength for generations to come. Ill be fighting for a future built on the bedrock principles of low spending, lower taxes, less red tape, and a simpler tax code like the FairTax all clear alternatives to the presidents priorities.

Equally important, Ill continue the fight to provide Americans with more choice and higher quality of care without damage to the economy," Crenshaw added. And, as a member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, I will work to make sure our men and women in uniform have the resources they need to protect us at home and around the globe. I hope the president shares that vision and is willing to work with Congress to achieve it.
