Corrine Brown on the House Floor During Redistricting Debate
Submitted by Kevin Derby on April 26, 2010 - 1:00pm
While the House debates adding more redistricting amendments to join the Fair Districts Florida measures already on the November ballot, one prominent Democrat who supports the Republicans is on the floor. U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, who has been vocal in opposing the Fair Districts measures, is on the floor, conferring with members.
Brown has been very critical of the Fair Districts measures and has argued that it sets minority representation back in Florida. She has said that five of the current seven state senate seats held by African-Americans could be lost if the Fair Districts amendments pass.
