Connie Mack's U.S. Senate Ambitions Get National Notice

Florida Republican U.S. Rep. Connie Mack is getting national attention as he continues to ponder whether to take on Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in 2012.

Macks possible senatorial ambitions received the notice of Politicos David Catanese on Thursday.

When asked about his political aspirations, Republican Representative Connie Mack will only go as far as to say he's focused on fulfilling his fourth term representing Florida's Gulf Coast, wrote Catanese. But look all around him and it looks as though he's taking every necessary step to prepare for a 2012 Senate run against Democratic Senator Bill Nelson.
