Connie Mack's Campaign Predicts Victory
The U.S. Senate campaign for U.S. Rep. Connie Mack, R-Naples, on Tuesday predicted their candidate will defeat U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Orlando, next week.
With seven days left until Election Day, the Connie Mack for U.S. Senate campaign today predicted that Connie Mack will win the race for the U.S. Senate based on the ongoing internal polling and analysis conducted by the campaign, the campaign stated in a release.
The campaigns predicted outcome: Mack 49.1 percent, Nelson, 47.7 percent.
Virtually every public poll shows that the race between Connie Mack and Bill Nelson has remained close and is now too close to call, Mack Campaign Manager Jeff Cohen stated in a release.
Our own campaigns internal data shows very similar and even stronger trends. Based on all the available data, we are absolutely confident that Connie Mack will win by 1.4% and will be Floridas next U.S. Senator.
A poll conducted last week by Harrisburg, Pa.-based Voter Survey Service for the Sunshine State News put the contest at 49 percent for Nelson, 44 percent for Mack, with a 3.1 percent margin of error.
