Connie Mack Unveils Congressional Backing in Hialeah

As expected on Monday, at a media event in Hialeah, Republican Senate hopeful U.S. Rep. Connie Mack unveiled the support of three of his congressional colleagues -- Mario Diaz-Balart, David Rivera and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen -- and former U.S.Rep.Lincoln Diaz-Balart.

Ive had the honor of working by each of their sides in Washington. Florida is a better place because of their dedication to the people whom they represent and fight for every day. With their help, we will defeat liberal Senator Bill Nelson in November, we will restore the America we know and love, and we will renew our nations commitment to freedom, security and prosperity for all Americans.

Mack named Jorge Arrizurieta, who helped his father during his time in the U.S. Senate from Florida, as a senior adviser to the campaign.

Jorge has been a close family friend and confidant of my fathers and mine for many, many years, Mack said. Im honored that he has agreed to join my campaign as senior adviser, where he will play a pivotal role in helping my campaign across Florida.
