Connie Mack Tries to Link Bill Nelson to Obama

U.S. Rep. Connie Mack, who is looking for the Republican nomination to challenge U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in November, tore into that Democrat incumbent on Thursday, trying to link him to President Barack Obama. Mack also urged Nelson to back the Keystone XL Pipeline project.

"Once again, Bill Nelson is being asked to do what is right for the people of Florida or the special-interest liberal allies like Barack Obama, Mack said. Over and over again, from Obamacare to stimulus spending, Bill Nelson has voted with the Lockstep Liberals against the interests of Florida. Now that we are in election season, will Bill Nelson do what the people want instead of what Barack Obama and the Lockstep Liberals want? The people of Florida await."

In recent weeks, Mack has faced a barrage of attacks from his main rival for the GOP nomination -- former U.S. Sen. George LeMieux -- over personal matters.
