Connie Mack to Present a Positive Message at Convention

With Florida in the national spotlight tonight at the Republican National Convention, U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Connie Mack, R-Fort Myers, said he wants to send a positive message about the future of America when he takes the stage.

Its a great opportunity for us in Florida to highlight our leaders, hopefully the people in the state of Florida will respond well, not only Republicans but independents and Democrats who are looking for a better future, that really want to see an America and state of Florida where our kids can dream big again, Mack said following his address Thursday morning at the Fresh From Florida breakfast at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.

There is a lot of negativity out there and President Obama and Sen. (Bill) Nelson, want to hold people down.

While GOP Presidential Nominee Mitt Romneys acceptance speech will highlight the night at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, Mack will join former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Miami, on the main stage.

Rubio will introduce Romney around 10 p.m.
