Connie Mack Praises 'Pledge to America' for Conservative Ideals

Florida Republican U.S. Rep. Connie Mack praised the Pledge to America being pushed by his fellow Republicans in the U.S. House. Mack offered his take on the Republican agenda on Thursday afternoon, cheering the plan for its commitment to conservative ideals.

Today, House Republicans unveiled a sound document that reaffirms our Partys commitment to our nations founding principles and offers bold solutions that uphold freedom and free markets, said Mack. For too long, Washington has issued an endless decree of big government policies on the American people policies that trample on the Constitution, force more spending and more taxing, and threaten our individual freedoms.

The 'Pledge to America' reflects the priorities of the American people, added Mack. It focuses on policies that allow the private sector, and not the government, to create jobs; cuts spending; ends taxpayer-funded bailouts and failed stimulus programs; repeals the government takeover of health care; scales back executive authority to enact burdensome federal regulations; and protects American citizens and secures our borders.

This 'Pledge to America' starts today, concluded Mack. My colleagues and I are committed to returning our nation to our constitutional principles and bringing accountability and transparency back to Washington.
