Connie Mack on Larry King Tonight With Jesse Ventura and Oliver Stone to Talk About Stone's Hugo Chavez Film
A movie director, a congressman with the same name as a famous baseball manager and a professional wrestler turned governor walk into a bar or better yet, CNNs Larry King Live.
Oliver Stone, U.S. Rep. Connie Mack from the 14th Congressional District in Florida and former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura will be on a panel with Larry King to talk about Stones new movie -- South of the Border. Stones new film offers a positive spin on controversial politicians in Latin America, including Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, Raul Castro of Cuba, Evo Morales of Bolivia and others. The film also argues that recent aid efforts from the U.S. and the International Monetary Fund have failed and paved the way for leftist governments in the region.
Mack is the ranking Republican on the House Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere and, increasingly, one of the leading figures in the GOP when it comes to Latin America and South America. This will be an interesting forum to see how Mack does on a much larger stage.
The show appears at 9 p.m. Eastern on CNN.
