The Council of Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), a group which has fought against pork and needless spending for more than two decades, released their 2009 ratings on Tuesday, giving high marks to a number of Florida Republicans in Congress.
CCAGW gave Republican U.S. House members Connie Mack, Jeff Miller and Cliff Stearns high marks -- but gave low scores to a number of their fellow members of the Republican caucus: Ander Crenshaw, Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Mario Diaz-Balart, Adam Putnam, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Bill Young all earned below 50 percent scores. None of the Florida Democrats won high marks from CCAGW.
The CCAGW grades were based on 120 voters in the House and 74 in the Senate.
