Connie Mack Calls on Obama to Stop Iran's Nuclear Program
U.S. Rep. Connie Mack weighed in on Iran launching its first nuclear reactor -- and called for the Obama administration to pull the plug on that nations fledgling program.
Under Mahmoud Ahmadinejads dangerous leadership, Iran continues to enrich uranium and push forward with its plans for a nuclear program, while supporting terrorism and building stronger relationships with other enemies of freedom, said Mack. Irans actions threaten the freedom, security and prosperity of the Middle East.
Whats even more egregious is that countries like Russia are helping Iran in its pursuit of nuclear power, added Mack. Instead of continuing with an anemic foreign policy, the Obama administration must take this opportunity to show that the United States will not tolerate Irans nuclear development; we will not back down from strict sanctions on Iran, and we will continue to stand with our allies for freedom and democracy around the world.
