C'mon Down! Treasure Coast Firm Has Hundreds of High-Paying Jobs
A new company on Florida's Treasure Coast says it will hire 200 workers over the next six months. And, no, we're not talking about hamburger flippers or lawn trimmers.
Digital Domain, a movie special-effects company, is calling technophiles to a job fair at its eponymously named baseball stadium in Port St. Lucie from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Some of the positions will pay well above the region's average salary. Having received $20 million in state incentives, Digital Domain pledged to fill 500 positions by 2014 at an average salary of $65,000.
CEO John Textor says his company is specifically looking for designers with computer graphics and digital media skills, and advised applicants to bring a demo reel with them.
