Club for Growth Takes Aim at Charlie Crist in New TV Ad

The Club for Growth, a conservative PAC which is backing former House Speaker Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate election, launched a series of new ads on Thursday -- including one directed at Gov. Charlie Crist who is running without party affiliation in the Senate contest.

The group is also running ads against Democratic U.S. Senate Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., and U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, whiletaking aim at U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak of Pennsylvania who defeated U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter in the Democratic primary. Sestak will take on former U.S. Rep. Pat Toomey, the Republican candidate, who worked for the Club for Growth before launching his current Senate bid.

Pat Toomey, Marco Rubio, Ron Johnson, Ken Buck, and Sharron Angle belong in the Senate, and Club for Growth Action is going to do everything it can to get them there, said Chris Chocola, the president of the group. This five-state, $1.5 million buy adds to the first wave in a campaign that we expect to be the most successful economic freedom has had in decades.
