Chuck Norris Still Behind Mike Huckabee
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who moved to Florida earlier in the year after making a spirited bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, has been active in helping politicians in the Sunshine State -- and on Tuesday, he unleashed action-movie legend and longtime backer Chuck Norris to raise money for HuckPAC, his leadership group.
Norris was a vocal backer of Huckabees presidential campaign in 2008, and looks ready to help out if the former Arkansas governor makes another bid for the Republican nod in 2012.
Ive been watching with interest as conservatives in state after state go to the polls to express their frustration with the status quo in Washington, wrote Norris to Huckabee backers on Tuesday. You and I are witnessing a powerful moment in our nations history. A great moment!
With only weeks to go before the election, we have the chance to forever change our nation for the better and elect a new Congress who will represent the people, not powerful special interests, continued Norris. Mike Huckabee continues leading the fight to change the status quo and help fix our broken system.
Norris left no doubt that he thought Huckabee was helping lead this charge against Washington and politics-as-usual.
In fact, Mike Huckabee and Huck PAC have endorsed over 85 candidates nationally who are running on a platform you and I support: strongly pro-life, fiscally conservative, fighting for lower taxes, ensuring a strong national defense, protecting our borders and those committed to defending traditional marriage, wrote Norris.
Ive known Mike Huckabee for years now, and its no secret I supported his presidential campaign in 2008, added Norris. Had we elected Mike in 2008, things would have been very different today theyd be better. Thats why I support Mike Huckabees vision.
