Chris Dorworth Joins Ballard Partners
Former State Rep. Chris Dorworth, who was in line to become House speaker, has joined the government affairs firm Ballard Partners.
Dorworth, who was narrowly upset by Rep. Mike Clelland, D-Lake Mary, in the general election, will run the Tallahassee-based firms Orlando office.
Were thrilled to have Representative Dorworth join our team and spearhead the opening of our new office in Orlando, Brian Ballard, president of Ballard Partners, stated in a release. Chris leadership and knowledge of the issues facing Florida and the Orlando area will be an enormous asset to our firm and our clients.
The nationally recognized firm also has offices in Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Tampa and Miami.
Having the opportunity to join Floridas leading public affairs firm is an incredible beginning to the next chapter in my career, Dorworth stated in the release. I look forward to contributing to the already exceptional team at Ballard Partners and building a strong, first-class public affairs presence in Central Florida.
In the House, Dorworth served as chairman of the Rulemaking and Regulation Subcommittee, co-chaired the House Reapportionment Committee and was vice chairman of the Appropriations Committee in the 2011-2012 sessions.
