Chris Christie Showcases Rick Scott's Record on Jobs
Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J., the chairman of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) and a possible Republican presidential candidate in 2016, showcased the records of Republican governors on jobs, including Gov. Rick Scott, R-Fla.
Republican governors are getting the job done and these most recent unemployment figures are proof positive that the pro-jobs, pro-growth, low-tax policies they are championing and implementing in the states are working, Christie said on Friday. In Florida, a state increasingly friendly to job creators, thanks to Gov. Rick Scotts commitment to attracting and supporting business, the unemployment rate has dropped a remarkable 5 points from 11.2 percent in November 2010 to 6.2 percent today, the lowest mark since 2008.
