Check This: Crist Takes Another Step Toward Democrats

At last report, Senate candidate Charlie Crist said he was "open" to union card-check legislation that would effectively end secret-ballot elections for union representation.

We don't know what he told Florida Teamsters behind closed doors, but their endorsement of the governor last week suggests he passed the test on this key union perk.

Of course, Crist reserves the right to flip ... as he has on so many other issues. But, for now, his cozying up to labor (think teachers union) continues, and that chips further away at Democratic nominee Kendrick Meek's base.

If he can triangulate his way to victory in November, can there be any doubt who Crist will caucus with on Capitol Hill?
