Charlie Crist Signs Rebate Bill

While Gov. Charlie Crist cant be pleased with the Legislature overturning eight vetoes he made earlier in the year during a special session held on Tuesday, he did sign the appliance rebate bill that sailed through both chambers.

Floridians who purchased an Energy Star labeled appliance between Aug. 30 and Sept. 14 will be able to submit the paperwork for the rebate by Nov. 30.

Homeowners who previously took action to upgrade their air-conditioning systems made a significant investment that will lower their own energy bills, as well as boost Floridas economy and protect our beautiful environment, said Crist. I encourage those Floridians to also make sure they take the additional steps needed to benefit from the rebate.
