Charlie Crist Sells His Soul to the Democrat Party

The AP reports on popular former Florida governor Charlie Crist's latest party flavor of the month:

"Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist has announced on Twitter that hes joining the Democratic Party.

"Crist sent out a Tweet on Friday night that said, 'Proud and honored to join the Democratic Party in the home of President (at)Barack Obama!'

"The Tweet included a photo of a smiling Crist holding up a Florida voter registration application. The Tampa Bay Times reports that the former Republican governor signed the papers changing his affiliation from independent to Democrat at a Christmas reception at The White House."

Maybe it was something in the Christmas punch?

No word on whether the rite of initiation for the Republican-turned-Populist-Demagogue-Independent-Now-Leftist-Democrat included ritual bloodletting or a formal recantation of Crist's previous putative identifications as a pro-life, pro-gun, anti-tax conservative.
