Charlie Crist Gives $2,000 to One of Allen West's Democratic Foes

Former Gov. Charlie Crist continues to earn the enmity of the Republican Party, this time by giving $2,000 to a would-be opponent of U.S. Rep. Allen West.

The Politico, via the Broward-Palm Beach New Times, reported that Crist gave two $1,000 contributions to Patrick Murphy, a Democrat seeking to unseat West, R-Plantation.

Murphy, like Crist a lapsed Republican, will face Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel in the Democratic primary in CD 22.
