Charlie Crist Channels Obama With Rising Sun Logo

The Twittersphere in Florida is buzzing about what appears to be the logo for former Gov. Charlie Crists upcoming gubernatorial campaign.

Crist is using a sunrise though its not turned into a C or another letter the way the sun became an O in Barack Obamas campaign logo. The new logo is not as similar to the Obama sunrise logo as what Bud Chiles used in his short-lived gubernatorial bid.

Back in 2010, Chiles ran for governor with no party affiliation before pulling out and backing then-state CFO Alex Sink, the Democratic candidate. After years as a Republican, Crist ran for the U.S. Senate in the same election cycle with no party affiliation. In 2012, after endorsing Obamas re-election, Crist joined the Democrats. Crist is expected to announce that he is running for governor early next week, this time as a Democrat.
