Charlie Crist Backs Rick Minor for Tallahassee City Council
A day after announcing that he would run for Congress if redistricting goes his way, former Gov. Charlie Crist endorsed former aide Rick Minor for Tallahassee City Council.
Minor, who had served as chief of staff to Tallahassee Mayor John Marks, had worked on policy during Crist’s gubernatorial campaign
“Florida faces many challenges, and we need strong, capable leaders who will do what is right for our citizens,” Crist said on Tuesday. “Rick Minor is one of those leaders, and I highly recommend him as your next city commissioner.”
“I’ve been humbled by the outpouring of support for this campaign, and Governor Crist’s endorsement is a tremendous honor,” said Minor. “His long record of achievement in fighting for the middle class, helping small businesses, and protecting the environment reflect the priorities I want to bring to Tallahassee’s City Commission.”
