Change Coming for Florida Lottery’s Pink Flamingo

The Florida lottery will unveil a new logo on Jan. 7 at its Tallahassee headquarters to mark its quarter century mark.

The release from the lottery doesnt say what will become of the iconic pink flamingo.

Over the past 25 years, the Florida lottery has become an integral part of Floridas culture and landscape with its iconic logo and its funding for education," a release from the Florida lottery stated.

"2013 marks an important turning point for the agency that involves a new brand and logo, new ways to play, and a renewed commitment to its mission to fund education.

The government-run organization was overwhelmingly approved by Florida voters in 1986 with the first games offered Jan. 12, 1988.
