CD 23 Candidate Ozzie deFaria Has 'Furious About Fuel' Petition

Republican congressional candidate Ozzie deFaria wants to put President Obama and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz over a barrel on rising oil prices.

Launching a "Furious About Fuel" petition, the CD 23 candidate is calling on Obama to open up federal lands for drilling immediately. He's also demanding that the president withdraw his proposal for increasing taxes on oil companies.

As for the peripatetic Wasserman Schultz, D-Fort Lauderdale, deFaria said, "She probably doesn't realize how angry people are with Barack Obama's failed energy policies. I plan to do what Debbie has not -- represent the people of South Florida."

DeFaria pledged to deliver the "furious" petitions to Joe Biden when the vice president visits Weston on June 4.
