Carlos Lopez-Cantera: Marco Rubio Will Remain an Important Conservative Voice

As U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., bowed out of the presidential race, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, who hopes to replace him in the Senate, offered a tip of the cap.

"I want to congratulate Marco, and his entire family and team, on a courageous and positive campaign,” Lopez-Cantera said on Tuesday night.

“Elections do not always have outcomes one expects, but I know that Marco's Reagan–esque optimism is something our country desperately needs right now, and I know Marco's voice will continue to be a part of the conservative movement in America,” Lopez-Cantera added.
