Carlos Lopez-Cantera Jabs Bernie Sanders, Alan Grayson
Continuing his bid for the Republican nomination in the U.S. Senate race, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera jabbed U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., for having kind words for the Castro regime in Wednesday night’s presidential debate.
Lopez-Cantera also hit U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., who is also running for the Senate and is backing Sanders.
“Alan Grayson's refusal to condemn Fidel Castro today shows exactly why he cannot be the next U.S. Senator from Florida,” Lopez-Cantera said on Thursday. “The Castro regime continues to violate the basic rights of the Cuban people, and Grayson has done nothing in Congress to stand up to the Castro dictatorship. In defending Bernie Sanders, Alan Grayson made it clear today he supports two socialists: the one in Cuba and the one who is a candidate for the president of the United States.”
