'Can't Wait' to Petition the White House?
If I didn't think these people were a little creepy, this would seem like a good idea.
But given the circumstances, it feels a little creepy.
According to an email I got today from senior presidential adviser David Plouffe (he was cancelling lunch), the White House has created a website called "We the People" that will allow people 13 and older to submit petitions to the Obama administration calling for action on just about any front -- today's topic is student loans -- that could help the economy.
If there are enough signatures on the petition, Mr. Plouffe's email assures me, the White House will issue a response.
This brings up two questions:
1) Who do you think is going to participate more, the public employees unions, or the public employees unions?
and
2) Do we want 14-year-olds running this country, or are they doing it already?
