Can't Get to a TV in Time for Obama's Speech? Check Here for Updates

Sunshine State News will be live-blogging President Barack Obama's Oval Office speech Tuesday night, starting at 8 p.m. All eyes will be on the president, as he outlines his administration's new response to the Deepwater Horizon spill in a rare televised address to the nation from his office.

The president has come under fire for not having the federal government more involved in the direct response to the Deepwater spill, a charge Obama has been struggling to counter in the last couple of weeks as he criticized British Petroleum's claims process and demanded BP start an escrow account for the nation's resonse to the oil spill.

Stay tuned tonight for updates on whether the president will call for more direct federal control of the response.
