Campus Carry Returns to Capitol Wednesday

Legislation to allow concealed weapon permit holders to carry their firearms on college campuses will be making a comeback Wednesday in Tallahassee.

Two bills -- one sponsored by Sen. Greg Evers, R-Baker, and Rep. Greg Steube, R-Sarasota, would allow those 21 and older with concealed weapons permits to be able to carry their guns on public college campuses.

The Senate Criminal Justice Committee will hear Evers' bill at 9 a.m. and the House Criminal Justice Subcommittee will hear Steube's bill at 10:30 a.m.
