Business Leaders Gathering to Talk Jobs, Diversity in Tallahassee

As Gov. Rick Scott might say:

Jobs, jobs, jobs.

(Do you think Ann hears that as much as the rest of us do? Probably even more. He's got to practice, after all.)

Florida's top business and civic leaders plan to meet Tuesday at the Governor's Club in Tallahassee to discuss ways to jump-start the economy by ratcheting up Florida's reputation as the place to do business. Participants will include representatives from major corporations that have strong nondiscrimination policies, including racial and sexual orientation. They include moderator John Delaney, president of the University of North Florida, Dale Brill, president of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and facilitator Nadine Smith, executive director of the Equality Florida Institute.

The meeting is at noon at the Governor's Club, 202 1/2 S Adams St., Tallahassee.

It's a nice place. Don't forget to tip.
