Budging on Shutdown? Bachmann Echoes Reid's Call for a 'Clean' Bill

You know we are living in strange times when Michele Bachmann and Harry Reid agree.
Signaling that the GOP may be ready to blink in the shutdown showdown, Bachmann, R-Minn., suggested to CNN's John King that Republicans pass a "clean bill" that excises any attempts to halt abortion funding.
That same "clean bill" reference was uttered by Senate Majority Leader Reid, D-Nev., Thursday as a prerequisite for approving a stopgap spending bill.
Bachmann's point, as well as Reid's: Get the military funded, keep the government running and argue about abortion later.
If Bachmann, a darling of the tea party movement, is ready to budge, can House Speaker John Boehner be far behind?
