Brian Mast: Supreme Court Did U.S. a 'Disservice' on King v. Burwell
Veteran and conservative activist Brian Mast, now running for Congress, came out swinging at the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on King v. Burwell. On Friday morning, Mast, who is running in the crowded Republican primary to replace U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., made his case against the decision.
"Through their interpretation of the law, the U.S. Supreme Court has once again gone to great lengths to save the disastrous and unaffordable Obamacare law, furthering their disservice to the American people,” Mast insisted. “When elected to the U.S. Congress, I will work to enact health-care reforms that will truly lower costs, increase the quality of care for Americans, and allow for all Americans to once again be able to make their own decision as to what health-care choices are best for them.
“The Supreme Court has just reaffirmed what we have known all along: the only way to eliminate Obamacare is by repealing and replacing it,” Mast added. “To do this, we need a truly principled Republican majority in Washington, D.C., to stand up and offer a clear alternative in its place.”
