Brian Blanchard Moves Up at State DOT

On Tuesday, state Department of Transportation Secretary Ananth Prasad announced that he was appointing Brian Blanchard, who had been chief engineer in the department, as the assistant secretary for engineering and operations.

"Brian is a seasoned transportation professional with stints in District 3 as the structures design engineer and district design engineer, and in central office as the state roadway design engineer and director, Office of Construction, said Prasad. His calm professional demeanor and technical competence has made him an asset to the agency and to any initiative he's been part of. With Brian's leadership and knowledge, I look forward to continuing to move this agency forward in delivering a state-of-the-art infrastructure and being the best DOT in the country."
