Blogger Wants McCollum to Prove a Negative

In blogging about Attorney General Bill McCollum's appeal to Gov. Charlie Crist to sign the "ultrasound bill," Miami Herald scribe John Frank thought he detected a "contradiction."
"McCollum didn't address the fact his support represents an apparent contradiction: he is fighting a health care mandate (the federal law) while supporting a state health care mandate (an ultrasound before abortions in the first trimester)," he opined.
No need to address the "contradiction," because there isn't one.
Like it or not, McCollum is entirely consistent in standing up for state's rights. That's the basis of the attorney general's suit against the Obama health-care law, and that's the crux of House Bill 1143, as well.
