Bill Posey to Highlight Fights Against Alzheimer's and Parkinson's

When he tours the Alzheimer/Parkinson Association of Indian River County facilities on Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., will be updated on research and the groups programs -- but he also has seen firsthand what those diseases can do to a family.

Raising awareness for disorders like Parkinsons disease and Alzheimers disease is critical for maintaining the much-needed support for research dollars and care for those affected by these conditions, said Posey, who has backed more grants at National Institutes of Health to further research those diseases. My father suffered from Parkinsons and I have seen firsthand how this disorder affects loved ones.
