Bill Nelson Pitches In for Gwen Graham

U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., went to bat for U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, D-Fla., sending out a fundraising email for her over the weekend. 

Graham is expected to be greatly impacted by redistricting as the state judicial branch is currently in charge of redoing the congressional lines. 

“I’ve been in politics for a while, so believe me when I say this -- I’ve seen a lot,” Nelson wrote. “But today Washington’s more dysfunctional than ever. Too many politicians are solely interested in promoting their own agendas at the expense of the people they represent. That’s why Gwen stands out -- she is one of the few people I know in Washington who always puts her constituents first.

“Florida’s families need -- and deserve -- a leader like Gwen in Congress. She gets us,” Nelson added. “She knows that we need to find commonsense solutions to problems facing our economy, our veterans, and our families. But most importantly, she understands that we need to set aside our differences in order to get the job done.”
