Bill McCollum: Will He Man Up or Wimp Out in Governor's Race?
Republicans won't say it publicly (yet), but deep within the latest Sunshine State News Poll is the key to Rick Scott's victory.
The survey shows Scott struggling to solidify his support among Republicans -- and falling short 1 or 2 percentage points in the GOP vote could provide Democrat Alex Sink with the margin of victory.
As pollster Jim Lee says:
"Currently, 9 percent of Republicans are voting for 'someone else' compared to 6 percent of Democrats, so theoretically this could hurt Scott more particularly if some of these are pro-McCollum voters who still havent come back in the fold."
So where's the leadership, Bill? Where's your loyalty to the Republican Party? Where are your "conservative" principles?
The longer the AG sulks on the sidelines, the more he affirms the stereotype of a craven, self-absorbed politician. A loss by Scott will simply make McCollum a two-time loser this year.
