Bill McCollum Camp on Rick Scott: 'He Doesn't Really Like to Play By the Rules'

Bill McCollums gubernatorial campaign team is cheering a decision today from a judge in Tallahassee to uphold state campaign laws, rejecting a legal challenge from Rick Scott who is leading McCollum in the battle for the Republican nomination.

This afternoon, Federal District Court Judge Robert Hinkle ruled to uphold state campaign finance law the same law Rick Scott agreed to follow when he filed to run for governor of the state of Florida, said Matt Williams, McCollums campaign manager. When more than $25 million in false advertising couldnt convince Florida voters, Rick Scott coughed up more of the money he took from taxpayers.

Williams used the opportunity to tee off on Scott -- something both campaigns have done increasingly throughout July.

Rick Scotts record one marked by overseeing the largest Medicare fraud scheme in history makes it clear he doesnt really like to play by the rules, said Williams. While Rick Scott spends time continuing his battle in court to spend millions and millions more of his ill-gotten gains distorting Attorney General Bill McCollums solid conservative record, we will be focusing on the issues that matter most to Floridians.
