Bill Gunter Nabs Jeb Bush Endorsement

Jeb Bush showed his support on Monday for pastor Bill Gunter in the race for House District 36, adding yet another layer of publicity to an already highly-publicized campaign.

Bush had kind words about Gunter and his commitment to education, an issue very important to Bush.

"Bill understands how important education is to strengthening our communities, said Bush in a release. He will work tirelessly to ensure our children receive a world-class education that will prepare them for success in todays global economy.

Gunter will face off against Democrat Amanda Murphy on Oct. 15 in the special election. Mike Fasano, who previously held the seat, was appointed as Pasco County tax collector last month.

Fasano has not been quiet over his personal preference for Murphy in the election. His Twitter accountis littered with tweets that inadvertently show support for Murphy and question Gunter as a candidate.
