Bill Clinton Takes a Whack at Rick Scott
Now former President Bill Clinton, President Barack Obama's all-the-way-left arm, is hammering away at Florida Gov. Rick Scott.
Speaking to a group of liberal youth activists Wednesday, Clinton evoked measures in battleground states like Florida and Ohio that he claims work like magic to make Democrat voters go away. He mentioned Scott's move to automatically remove convicted felons' voting rights for a number of years before they can apply to get them back.
"Why should we disenfranchise people forever once they've paid their price?" asked the impeached American president who never paid his own price. "Because most of them in Florida were African-Americans and Hispanics who tended to vote for Democrats. That's why."
If Scott's ears were burning, nobody said. At the time of Clinton's Washington, D.C., speech, the governor was blithely measuring a "jobs success" at the Keystone Terminals' grand opening in Jacksonville.
