Biden Says He's Not Done With Gun Control

Vice President Joe Biden said he isn't finished with gun control just yet. At a speech in Las Vegas Friday, he revealed at least five senators who initially opposed background checks have come to him saying they want to change their votes on the issue.

Ive had at least five senators call me and say, Cant we do something about this? Biden said. The calculus has changed, and so were in an effort to try to work out how we can provide another opportunity for those who voted no to change their vote. We all know thats the hardest thing in politics, to change your vote. Thats why weve got to get a rationale, another reason why this could be done by changing the specifics of the legislation.

Forty-five senators voted against background checks this spring, but the vice president did not say who specifically came to him with a change of heart.
