Benson Edges Bondi for 2nd in GOP AG Fundraising

Former Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Holly Benson, a candidate for the Republican attorney general nomination,just released her fundraising figures for the first quarter of 2010. Benson raised just under $242,000 during that period.

This placesBenson's fundraising behind both Democratic candidates and one of her two rivals for the Republican nod. Sen. Dan Gelber, D-Miami Beach, raised $325,000 and Sen. Dave Aronberg, D-Greenacres, raked in $260,000during that period.On the Repubicanside, Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp raised $270,000 in the first quarter whileHillsborough County assistant state attorney Pam Bondi brought in $240,000.
