Barack Obama Looks Poised to Run Again in 2012

Well, at least one familiar name will be running for president in 2012 -- Barack Obama.

National Journal will be running an interview with Obama next week and it doesn't look as if there will be too many surprises. Obama basically said that he would run for a second term in 2012, just as everyone in the universe expected. Only a handful of presidents did not want a second term and, to be blunt, of the ones that did -- James K. Polk, James Buchanan, Rutherford B. Hayes, Calvin Coolidge -- all of them but Coolidge would have had a hard time clinching re-nomination, let alone winning another term.

Obama also shot down rumors that he intended to switch the positions currently held by Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
