Another Charlie Crist Campaign Staffer Calls it Quits
Only a few months into his campaign, another prominent staff member has called it quits with Charlie Crist.
According to SaintPetersblog,Michael Hoffman, who was listed as Crist's deputy finance director,is no longer with the campaign.A campaign spokesman confirmed on Monday that Hoffman and the Crist campaign had parted ways before the end of the year.
Hoffman was brought on after raising money for several high-profile Democratic campaigns, including Alex Sink's 2010 run for governor and President Barack Obama's re-election campaign in 2011 and 2012.
Just last month, former campaign manager for New York City mayor Bill De Blasio, Bill Hyers, made an abrupt split from Crist's campaign. When Hyers was asked why heleft the campaign, he said, "I never started, and ended up just deciding to stay in NYC. Great town."
Hyers had been introduced by Crist as his "campaign manager," but the Crist campaign attempted to downplay his departure.
"Its early," they said. "Our campaign structure is still coming together. Bill wanted to stay in New York because it was good for him."
