Ander Crenshaw: Obama Should Act Fast to Replace Chuck Hagel

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw, R-Fla., a member of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, urged President Barack Obama to quickly replace Chuck Hagel, who is on his way out as secretary of defense.

Through the Vietnam War, as a United States senator, and as secretary of defense, Chuck Hagel has devoted himself to our nation, and deserves our thanks," Crenshaw said on Monday night. "We only need look at the day-to-day headlines to understand that the world is a dangerous place. The Obama administration has no time to waste in putting forth a successor and well-defined national security strategy that will defeat the scourge of terrorism. America deserves nothing less."
